Esther Montes

Esther Ana Montes Vera holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Complutense University of Madrid, a PD in Refinancing and Restructuring from the IEB and completed an expert course in Insolvency Proceedings from INESEM.

She has spent her career at ICO (Official Credit Institute) where she has held various roles and responsibilities in several positions: Head of the Retail Monitoring and Recovery Division, Head of the Wholesale Monitoring and Recovery Division and Head of the Monitoring and Recoveries Department and Head of Operations Administration and Monitoring and General Manager of Administration and Information Systems.

As General Director of National Corporate Financing, Midcaps and SMEs, he will be responsible for the generation and management of the Institute's direct national financing, both wholesale and to Midcaps and SMEs, through all types of operations and asset products, including guarantees and collateral. In particular, he will be responsible for the territorial expansion of the direct financing activity to SMEs and midcaps.

In addition, it will manage financing through ICO's Banking Intermediation Lines and will be responsible for the management and administration of the State Funds entrusted to the Institute in its capacity as State Financial Agency.

The National Corporate Financing Division and the Direct Financing for SMEs and Midcaps Division report to this directorate.
