ICO, as a credit institution, carries out its activity with one main objective: the promotion of economic activities that contribute to sustainable growth, the generation of employment and the distribution of wealth.

ICO has launched ICO Crecimiento, a new 100% digital direct financing tool that marks a step forward in modernizing access to credit for small and medium-sized enterprises. With this initiative, ICO aims to be closer to businesses, offering solutions tailored to their real needs and supporting them throughout their growth processes. ICO Crecimiento is designed for companies with viable projects, growth potential, and the ability to generate employment, which, due to their specific characteristics or profiles, have not been served by traditional financial channels. This instrument seeks to address market failures and facilitate access to financing for high-potential companies through a streamlined, automated process with personalized support.
The purpose of the operations to be financed focuses, among others, on sustainable mobility; development of renewable energies, renewable hydrogen; energy efficiency; circular economy; water treatment; improvement of energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings; improvement of accessibility in buildings/housing; urban and rural regeneration and renovation; transport, hospital, elderly or educational infrastructure projects with public and private companies; and construction and rehabilitation of social or affordable housing.
ICO's activity is thus aligned with both the climate and energy objectives of the Government's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and with the ESG sustainability objectives established by the United Nations in the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreements (COP21).
