Santiago Novoa

Santiago Novoa holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela USC, a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Economic Studies/Diplôme des Hautes Études Européennes at the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium), a PhD in Financial Economics from the Universidad de Vigo (UV) and an International MBA from ESDEN Business School.

His career has spanned more than two decades as a manager in the financial sector and as a lecturer at the Universidad de Vigo as an associate professor. At Caixanova, after having been director of the Madrid Regional Office, he was in charge of Retail Banking in Spain and representative offices in Europe. At Novacaixagalicia he took over the management of Corporate and Business Banking in Spain. At Novagalicia Banco, the General Management of the Chairman's Office and, in his last stage at ABANCA, its Institutional Banking Directorate. He was also Senior Manager at One to One Corporate Finance, a company specialising in M&A transactions for middle market companies.

He joined the SEPIDES Group in August 2021. He has been a member of the SEPIDES Management Committee as Director of Business Activity Business, Chairman of Sepides Gestión SGEIC, S.A. and Chairman of SODIEX.

In addition, he has been a member of several boards of directors: Sociedad de Garantía Recíproca SOGARPO, S.G.R.; Ciudad Tecnológica de Vigo CITEXVI S.A.; Muéstralo S.A.; Parque Tecnológico de Galicia S.A.; Member of the Executive Committee of Navalia Shipbuilding Exhibition and of the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Pontevedra, Vigo and Villagarcía. A member of the plenary session of the Chamber of Commerce of La Coruña, he has also been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Galicia-Europa representing Novagalicia Banco.

As General Manager of SMEs and Midcaps, he will be responsible for the generation and management of the Institute's direct financing activity for SMEs and midcaps, through all types of operations and asset products, including guarantees and collateral. In particular, he will be responsible for the territorial expansion of the direct financing activity to SMEs and midcaps.
