Instituto de Crédito Oficial, in pursuit of its aim to contribute to the economic growth and improved distribution of national wealth, co-operates with other bodies and institutions, both domestic and international, whose purpose is similarly to benefit sectors which, on account of their social, cultural, innovative or ecological significance, are deserving of priority attention.
Accordingly, for several years now, ICO has been entering into institutional and/or financial agreements of co-operation with similar bodies, autonomous communities, ministries and financial institutions. The aim is the starting-up of new investment projects by Spanish enterprises and also, in the Institute's capacity as the State's Financial Agency, the alleviation of the effects of natural disasters or situations of grave economic crisis.
